Solihull VCFSE Funding Launch Event

October 6, 2026

The Solihull VCFSE Funding Launch Event is taking place on Wednesday 7 October, between 1.00pm and 4.00pm at St Barnabas Church, Over Green Drive Kingshurst, B37 6EY. This event will provide an opportunity to learn about four new funding programmes being launched by Solihull Council to support voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations across the borough.

Whether you are an established organisation, a community group, or are looking to develop new activities for local residents, these funds could help you strengthen your work, build organisational capacity, support vulnerable residents, and create new opportunities within your community.

At the event, you will be able to find out more about:

  • The Community Start Up and Support Programme, helping local people and groups turn ideas into action through small grants and practical support.
  • The Community ESOL Conversation and Activity Sessions Fund, providing grants of up to £5,000 to deliver community-based English language opportunities for Afghan refugees.
  • The Solihull VCFSE Capacity and Development Fund, offering grants of up to £1,000 to support workforce, leadership and organisational development.
  • The Solihull Support and Prevention Fund, with grants of up to £10,000 available for projects that help residents prevent and recover from financial hardship while improving wellbeing and resilience.

Representatives from CAVA, Colebridge Trust, YO Solihull and the Community Development Team will also be available throughout the afternoon to discuss funding opportunities, organisational development, training and other support that may help your organisation grow and thrive.

This is an informal drop-in event, so please feel free to attend at any point between 1.00pm and 4.00pm. Refreshments, including hot drinks and cake, will be provided.

We would be delighted to welcome you and your colleagues and encourage you to take this opportunity to explore the funding and support available for your organisation and the communities you serve.
